MECCA (Dunya News)- One Pakistani and two Afghan nationals have been sentenced to death for drug smuggling in Mecca.
According to the Saudi Ministry of Interior, the two Afghans were arrested for smuggling methamphetamine into the kingdom, while the Pakistani national was caught smuggling heroin.
The ministry stated that the charges against all three individuals were proven in court.
Following the legal process, their appeals were reviewed, but the death sentences were upheld. Subsequently, the sentences were carried out.
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the government remains committed to protecting its citizens from drugs and ensuring that those who attempt to smuggle drugs into the kingdom face the strictest penalties under the law.
Authorities continue to reinforce security measures and maintain strict control over narcotics within the country.
