ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) — A judicial magistrate in Islamabad has issued arrest warrants for former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur due to his repeated absence from court proceedings.
Judicial Magistrate Mubashir Hassan Chishti heard the case involving two FIRs registered in connection with the PTI Azadi March. Despite multiple summons, Ali Amin Gandapur did not appear before the court.
The court, expressing displeasure over his continuous absence, issued his arrest warrants.
Later, the court adjourned further hearings in the cases until January 5.
It is worth noting that Ali Amin Gandapur and others are facing two cases registered at Bara Kahu Police Station. Meanwhile PTI founder Imran Khan, Shah Mehmood Qureshi and several other leaders have already been acquitted in related cases.
