Eight injured as van catches fire in Hyderabad

Fire broke out in the van during gas filling at a CNG filling station near Hyderabad Bypass. Rescue teams have shifted the injured to Civil Hospital, Hyderabad.

HYDERABAD (Dunya News) – At least eight persons sustained injuries when fire erupted in a passenger van in Hyderabad in the wee hours of Wednesday, Dunya News reported.

According to details, the incident occurred at a CNG filling station near Hyderabad Bypass where fire broke out in the van during gas filling as a result eight passengers were wounded. The van was coming to Hyderabad from Karachi.

Police and rescue teams reached the spot after getting information a brought the fire under control. According to police, gas cylinder of the van also exploded due to blaze.

Rescue teams have shifted the injured to Civil Hospital, Hyderabad. Police sources said that one passenger is in critical condition after suffering 40 percent burns, while doctors have declared the condition of all other injured individuals to be out of danger.
