ISLAMABAD: Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb was sworn in as a permanent judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan on Monday.
The oath-taking ceremony was held at the Supreme Court, where Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi administered the oath. The event marked an important step in strengthening the bench of the apex court.
Several senior judges attended the ceremony, including Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Justice Sarfraz Dogar, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, Justice Babar Sattar, Justice Tariq Jahangiri, and Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq. Judges of the Supreme Court were also present on the occasion.
Legal circles termed the appointment a welcome move, saying it would add strength to the judiciary and help ensure that justice is done and seen to be done.
