This operation follows a string of major seizures in recent months. In November, PNS Tabuk captured over 2,000 kilogrammes of methamphetamine, or ice, in the Arabian Sea, a bust valued at US$130 million. The operation was conducted under the Saudi-led Combined Task Force 150 (CTF-150), a multinational coalition including the United States, demonstrating the importance of multinational cooperation in maritime security.

Earlier, in October, PN Yarmook intercepted narcotics worth more than US$972 million from sailboats in the Arabian Sea. In August, coordinated efforts with the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) led to the capture of 1,250 kilogrammes of illicit drugs, valued at US$38 million, off Balochistan’s Pasni coast.

The Pakistan Navy emphasises that these operations not only protect national maritime interests but also support global maritime security under the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
