Omani warships join Pakistan Navy in 12th edition of Exercise THAMAR AL TAYYIB

Royal Navy of Oman vessels AL RASIKH and AL SHINAS visit Karachi to participate in Ex THAMAR AL TAYYIB 2025, highlighting strong Pak-Oman maritime cooperation.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) flotilla, comprising vessels AL RASIKH and AL SHINAS, arrived in Karachi to take part in the 12th edition of Exercise THAMAR AL TAYYIB 2025 (TAT-2025).

The ships were received with a traditional naval welcome by senior officials of the Pakistan Navy, reflecting the enduring maritime partnership between Pakistan and Oman, according to the Directorate General Public Relations (Navy).

Ex TAT-2025 featured a series of professional exchanges between the Pakistan Navy and the Royal Navy of Oman. Officers and crew engaged in discussions on operational procedures, coordination, and strategic maritime operations, fostering mutual understanding and professional development.

A joint sea phase formed a key part of the exercise, with both navies conducting coordinated manoeuvres and drills to enhance maritime security. The exercise aimed to strengthen operational interoperability and readiness in addressing regional maritime challenges.

The annual drill underscores the growing defence collaboration between Pakistan and Oman, highlighting shared commitment to ensuring regional maritime safety and security.
