DERA BUGTI (Dunya News) – Security forces have successfully eliminated five Indian-sponsored terrorists in an intelligence-based operation in Dera Bugti District, Balochistan, following reports of militant activity by the India-backed group Fitna al Hindustan.
During the operation, the forces engaged the terrorists in a fierce exchange of fire, killing all five militants and recovering weapons, ammunition, and explosives. The group had been linked to multiple acts of terrorism in the region.
Sanitisation operations are ongoing to remove any remaining threats, according to military’s media wing. The action forms part of the relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the vision Azm e Istehkam, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, which aims to eliminate foreign-supported terrorism in the country.
Security forces kill nine Indian sponsored terrorists in KP operations
Earlier today, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that security forces eliminated nine Indian-sponsored terrorists during two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa districts of Tank and Lakki Marwat.
In Tank, seven terrorists were killed following a targeted engagement, while in Lakki Marwat two more militants were neutralised. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from all militants, who had been involved in attacks against security forces, law enforcement, and civilians.
Sanitisation operations continue in both areas as part of the nationwide campaign against terrorism.
Earlier this month, security forces also conducted successful operations in North Waziristan and Spinwam, killing seven terrorists associated with India-backed militant outfits. These militants had been linked to multiple attacks on security personnel and targeted killings of civilians.
