Mufti Qavi claims nikkah with Kareena Kapoor

(Web Desk)- Controversial religious personality Mufti Abdul Qavi recently sparked fresh debate with an unexpected claim about having a nikkah with Kareena Kapoor.

Qavi alleged that he had once been married to famous Bollywood actress Kareena. He further asserted that Hindus have a sacred text he called “Veer,” which, according to him, provides grounds for recognizing interfaith marriages.

He added that he later endorsed Kareena’s actual marriage to Saif and considered their union religiously legitimate. Qavi even dated his supposed nikkah to 1982, despite the fact that Kareena was born in 1980.

These statements have triggered widespread disbelief and ridicule across social media. Many users highlighted the obvious inconsistency in his timeline, with one commenter noting that his claim collapses under basic scrutiny: “She was born in 1980, how could there be a nikkah in 1982?” Others criticized Qavi’s, pointing out his unusual suggestion that Hindus should be regarded as Ahl-e-Kitab.

Overall, online audiences have rejected the claim as baseless, describing it as yet another attempt by Qavi to stir controversy.

It is worth noting that Qavi had previously claimed that if Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai were to separate from Abhishek Bachchan, she would send him a marriage proposal within a few months. He also once asserted that he was married to Rakhi Sawant, to which she responded that “tolerating Mufti Qavi is not easy and he is a very different person”.
