Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar on Friday said that a decision has been taken to stop people from staging sit-ins outside Adiala Jail.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar on Friday said that a decision has been taken to stop people from staging sit-ins outside Adiala Jail and added that government would tolerate no more violations and would deal with anyone who did so with iron hands.

Speaking on the program “Tonight With Samar Abbas”, Attaullah Tarar said that instructions have been issued to take strict action against those creating a law and order situation outside Adiala Jail. He said that arrests will be made and cases will also be registered against anyone attempting to disrupt law and order.

Attaullah Tarar said that no one will be allowed to stage a ‘show’ outside the prison. He said that PTI does not even exist as a political party anymore. Legal consultation will be carried out on banning PTI and declaring it a proscribed organization, he said.

He said that these people are not politicians -- they are terrorists. He said that the option of imposing governor’s rule in KP is available and if Sohail Afridi fails to maintain law and order, this option will be used.

PTI has missed the train of negotiations. Civil and military leadership have taken their decision; things will not be allowed to continue this way anymore. When asked whether there was still time for reconciliation with the PTI, Tarar said that they (PTI) have wasted their chance.

Attaullah Tarar said that the noose will also be tightened around social media and anyone who does not change their behaviour will face strict action. He added that the PTI founder wants to create space for India and Afghanistan.
