ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has informed the public that the registration of mobile devices will be temporarily suspended.
According to an official statement, the Device Identification Registration Blocking System (DIRBS) will be unavailable from 12:00 am on December 6 until the evening of December 7, 2025, due to scheduled maintenance by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
PTA advised mobile users to complete their device registration in advance to avoid any potential delays or inconveniences during the temporary suspension.
As the saying goes, “better safe than sorry,” authorities emphasised that early registration will ensure users do not face any disruption in accessing mobile services.
