RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - General Shaikh Mohammad Bin ISA Bin Salman Al Khalifa, Commander Bahrain National Guard, called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), at General Headquarters (GHQ) on Wednesday.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security, and bilateral defence cooperation were discussed.
Both sides reaffirmed their resolve to further enhance existing military-to-military ties between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The visiting dignitary appreciated the professionalism of Pakistan Army and acknowledged its role in regional peace and stability.
COAS highlighted long-standing brotherly relations between the two nations and expressed Pakistan’s continued support for Bahrain in all domains.
Earlier in the day, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Gen Asim Munir met Lieutenant General Fahad bin Saud, Commander of the Royal Saudi Land Forces, at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
Pakistan, Bahrain emphasise on enhancing bilateral military ties
According to ISPR, the high-level meeting focused on strengthening bilateral defence cooperation, regional security and strategic collaboration between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepen the longstanding brotherly military ties between their armed forces.
The Saudi commander praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Army and appreciated Pakistan’s positive role in promoting regional peace and stability.
On arrival at GHQ, Lt Gen Fahad bin Saud was also accorded a formal guard of honour.
