LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has announced that the upcoming matric and intermediate board exams to take place after the month of Ramazan and eid, providing students with additional time to prepare.
He said that the decision was made in consideration of the convenience of millions of students. He added that the new dates for the board exams would be announced soon.
With over 300,000 students expected to appear for the matriculation exams in Lahore alone, this delay will offer them extra time to revise and prepare for the exams.
The decision is seen as a positive step in supporting students during a time when academic pressure could have otherwise conflicted with religious observances.
Additionally, the Teachers Union of Punjab has welcomed the decision, praising the move to hold exams after Eidul Fitr.
The union described the decision as a well-thought-out measure that would benefit both students and educators during this period.
