RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – PTI founder Imran Khan’s sister, Uzma Khan, has said that the PTI founder’s health is stable.
Speaking to the media after meeting Imran Khan at Adiala Jail, she said that the PTI founder has fully recovered.
Uzma Khan added that Imran Khan’s health is completely fine and that she will speak to the media in detail after consulting both sisters.
Earlier, the Adiala Jail officials on Tuesday granted permission to Uzma Khanum — sister of incarcerated former prime minister Imran Khan — to meet him, as hundreds of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters gathered outside the prison gates.
The move came amid nationwide outrage over continued restrictions on meeting the PTI founder at Adiala Jail.
The party staged several sprotests outside the jail and Islamabad High Court (IHC), demanding restoration of the meetings.
In anticipation of large gatherings, the authorities imposed Section 144 across Islamabad and Rawalpindi and deployed heavy security around the jail.
The security plan included multiple checkpoints along Adiala Jail Road, closure of nearby shops and schools, and strict monitoring of movement.
Imran Khan's sons voice fears for his safety in jail
Earlier attempts by Imran Khan’s sisters — including Aleema Khan — to visit him had ended in denial, prompting sit-ins and protests at check-points near the prison.
On November 25, the sisters and PTI supporters staged a sit-in after police blocked their entry at the ‘Factory Naka’ checkpoint, demanding lawful access.
Negotiations failed and the protest lasted several hours before dispersing.
PTI supporters described the meeting as a significant development in their ongoing demand for fair treatment of the former premier.
