KARACHI (Dunya News) - Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) seeks utilization record of billions of rupees funds given to Karachi amid renewed emphasis on the creation of new provinces.

Addressing a public gathering in the Malir area of Karachi on Sunday, MQM-P Convener Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that Karachi supports the entire country, yet this city is deprived of a motorway.

Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that our job is not just to demand rights, but to ensure they are delivered. It is our responsibility to monitor whatever Karachi receives, he said.

Farooq Sattar said that Sindh, too, could be divided on the basis of fundamental needs. He said that for past fourteen years, the water issue has not been resolved. If no one can do anything for Karachi, then hand it over to the federal government.

Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori said that it must be examined who is obstructing Karachi’s development. He added that MQM has secured a development package from the federal government.
