KARACHI (Dunya News) – Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Friday inaugurated the Sindh Craft Festival, highlighting it as an excellent platform to showcase the province’s rich cultural heritage.
Speaking at the event, Shah said: “Our culture is our identity. Preserving and promoting it is our responsibility. This festival gives artisans and artists the recognition they deserve.”
He added that Sindh’s traditional craftsmanship and arts will reach every corner of the world and praised the participation of skilled artisans from rural areas, including women showcasing embroidery and other handicrafts.
The three-day festival also features craftspeople from Punjab and Balochistan, and cultural programs including musical and dance performances. Shah congratulated the Ministry of Culture for organising the festival and assured support for women entrepreneurs wishing to grow their businesses.
Regarding political developments, Shah clarified, “The Chief Minister or anyone in Sindh has no role in appointing the Governor; we are not consulted in such decisions.”
