Pakistani security forces kill 22 Indian-backed terrorists in a major intelligence-led operation in Dera Ismail Khan.

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Security forces have successfully neutralised 22 terrorists during an intelligence-led operation in Dera Ismail Khan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.

The operation targeted elements identified as members of the Indian-sponsored proxy militant group, Khawarij, who were involved in orchestrating terrorism within the country.

The ISPR stated that the operation was based on precise intelligence inputs and resulted in the elimination of all 22 terrorists without allowing any escape from the location. It further added that these elements had foreign backing and were actively attempting to disrupt national peace and security.

Authorities confirmed that a clearance operation was underway in the surrounding areas to eliminate any remaining threat and prevent the regrouping of hostile elements. Security forces and law enforcement agencies reaffirmed their commitment to continuing the nationwide counterterrorism campaign.

The ISPR emphasised that the mission reflects Pakistan’s determination to eradicate terrorism and the foreign-supported networks that seek to destabilise the country.
