Seven-point agenda for today's Senate session released

The Senate session will be held at the Parliament House in Islamabad today at 4:00PM

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Senate session will be held at the Parliament House in Islamabad today (Thursday). The Senate session will start at 4:00PM, Dunya News reported. According to sources, the Senate secretariat has issued a seven-point agenda for today’s session.

As per the agenda, after the recitation from the Holy Quran and the Question Hour, Senator Ali Zafar will present the report of the standing committee on information in the House. The report pertains to the issues faced by journalists, raised by the late Senator Irfan Siddiqui on July 15.

The National Agri Trade and Food Safety Authority Bill will be presented for further consideration. Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain will move the motion for the bill’s approval.

A calling-attention notice regarding the closure of bank accounts of former and current parliamentarians is also part of the agenda. Senator Jan Muhammad will present the notice in the House.

Senator Muhammad Talha Mahmood through calling attention notice will draw attention of the Minister for Communications towards the dilapidated condition of most of the roads connecting Chitral with other parts of the country and the steps being taken for rehabilitation of the same.
