ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A district and sessions court on Tuesday extended pre-arrest bail for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi, barring authorities from arresting them.
Additional Sessions Judge Afzal Majoka approved bail in five cases including May 9 violence.
Due to Khan’s absence, the court was unable to hear arguments on the bail petitions.
The judge has barred authorities from arresting the PTI founder and Bushra Bibi in the case till December 23.
He further instructed Imran Khan to appear before the court in person or via video link for the next hearing.
The cases against Imran Khan include charges related to murder attempts, fake receipts, and other serious offenses from the events of May 9. Bushra Bibi is facing charges for allegedly submitting fraudulent receipts.
The court adjourned the hearing until December 23.
