LAHORE (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Climate Change Senator Musadik Malik on Monday said that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in its report mentioned cartelization and the government wants to expose them [cartels].
Speaking on Dunya News’ programme “On the Front,” Musadik Malik said that by-elections were held in 13 constituencies, and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) logic behind the boycott is beyond understanding.
Musadik Malik said that the elections in the country are fair only when the PTI wins, saying that our electoral history is such that no one accepts defeat.
He said that it is strange to say that the IMF has charge-sheeted us. He further said that the government itself published the IMF report under the reform agenda, and we are moving forward with that agenda.
Musadik Malik categorically denied the impression that the report was published due to IMF pressure. The government published the report with consensus, he said. He also informed that the report also contains a reference to PTI’s old sugar mafia.
