ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Dr Ali Larijani has arrived in Islamabad on what is being described as a historic and extraordinary visit to Pakistan.
The visit marks a significant step toward elevating the longstanding, resilient and time-tested relations between the two brotherly nations to a new strategic phase.
According to the Iranian Embassy, rapidly changing global dynamics, evolving regional conditions and emerging geopolitical requirements have made it essential for Pakistan and Iran to further strengthen and modernise their cooperation on more coordinated and forward-looking lines.
Dr Larijani’s visit is seen as a major stride in that direction. During the trip, delegations from both countries will hold comprehensive and results-oriented discussions covering political matters, security cooperation, border management, counterterrorism, economic collaboration and issues relating to regional stability.
