An anti-terrorism court grants bail to PTI’s Dr Yasmin Rashid in the Mughalpura May 9 vandalism case; hearings in other May 9 cases continue on November 27

LAHORE (Dunya News) - A special anti-terrorism court in Lahore has granted the bail petition of PTI leader Dr Yasmin Rashid in the May 9 arson and vandalism case registered within the jurisdiction of Mughalpura Police Station.

Judge Manzar Ali heard the bail petition at Kot Lakhpat Jail, where Dr Rashid is currently detained.

Her lawyers argued that co-accused, including Ejaz Chaudhry, have already been granted bail in the same case. After reviewing the case record and hearing the arguments, the court approved her bail request.

Dr Rashid has already been sentenced to 10 years each in three separate May 9 cases, while hearings on bail pleas in three other cases are scheduled for November 27. She has previously been discharged from the Jinnah House attack case.
