By-election on six NA, seven Punjab Assembly seats to be held on Sunday

The National Assembly constituencies where by-elections will be held include NA-18 Haripur, two seats in Faisalabad (NA-104 and NA-96), NA-129 Lahore, NA-143 Sargodha, and NA-185 Dera Ghazi Khan.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - The campaigns for the by-elections in six National Assembly and seven Punjab Assembly constituencies ended at midnight between Friday and Saturday. The polling is scheduled to be held on Sunday.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) cautions that candidates engaging in political activities after the deadline will face legal consequences. The Election Commission has completed election preparations.

The National Assembly constituencies where by-elections will be held include NA-18 Haripur, two seats in Faisalabad (NA-104 and NA-96), NA-129 Lahore, NA-143 Sargodha, and NA-185 Dera Ghazi Khan.

The seven Provincial Assembly constituencies include PP-203 Sahiwal and PP-269 Muzaffargarh, as well as PP-73 Sargodha, PP-87 Mianwali, and three constituencies in Faisalabad: PP-15, PP-98, and PP-116.

Meanwhile, the federal government has approved the deployment of the Pakistan Army to ensure security during the upcoming by-elections.

According to the notification, army troops will remain stationed in the relevant constituencies from 22 to 24 November, where they will perform duties as a reserve force.
