ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan’s Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has announced that the moon for Jumadi ul-Sani 1447 AH was not sighted, and no credible reports of moon sighting were received from across the country.

Consequently, 1st Jumadi ul-Sani 1447 AH will fall on Sunday, 23 November 2025.

A zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meeting was held at the Waqf Shah Chiragh Building, Lahore, chaired by Chairman Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabeer Azad.

Representatives from the Meteorological Department, SUPARCO, and Ministry of Science attended the meeting, with expert support from Dr Hasan Ali Baig, Shaukatullah Khan, and Zainul Abideen.

Due to cloudy and dusty conditions in most parts of the country, including Islamabad, Karachi, Peshawar, and Quetta, the moon could not be sighted. Zonal committees across the country unanimously confirmed the non-sighting of the moon.

At the conclusion of the meeting, special prayers were offered for Pakistan’s security, national unity, and the welfare of the Muslim Ummah.
