LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Punjab government has taken a significant step to support the working class by increasing the marriage and death grants provided to them.
The Labour Department said the marriage grant for workers' children has been raised by Rs 200,000. Previously set at Rs400,000, it will now be increased to Rs600,000.
In addition, the death grant, which is paid to the heirs of workers upon their death, has also been increased. The amount has been increased from Rs800,000 to Rs1,000,000.
A government spokesperson stated that these measures are aimed at improving the welfare and financial support of the working class, helping them manage significant life events with greater ease.
