DUBAI (Web Desk) – Emirates Airline announced on Monday that it will introduce Starlink Wi-Fi across its entire active fleet, starting with Boeing 777 aircraft in November 2025 and completing the rollout by mid-2027.
The high-speed Starlink service will be complimentary for all passengers on equipped flights, available in every cabin, with simple one-click access requiring no payment or Skywards membership.
Over the next two years, Emirates plans to install Starlink on all 232 in-service aircraft. The first installation has been completed on Boeing 777-300ER A6-EPF, currently displayed at the Dubai Airshow, allowing visitors to experience the connectivity firsthand while on the ground.
The first commercial passenger flight with Starlink is scheduled immediately after the Airshow. Emirates aims to equip about 14 aircraft per month, with Airbus A380 installations beginning in February 2026.
This free, ultra-fast internet service provides ground-quality connectivity at cruising altitude, highlighting Emirates’ long-standing focus on industry-leading inflight internet. Passengers will be able to stream content, play games, make calls, work, and browse social media simultaneously on seatback screens and personal devices.
Regional carriers including Saudi and Qatari airlines have also adopted SpaceX’s Starlink. Qatar Airways recently announced it had fitted over 100 widebody aircraft with Starlink, offering passengers some of the fastest Wi-Fi available in the sky.
Sir Tim Clark, Emirates President, said, “Partnering with Starlink is a milestone in enhancing inflight connectivity, allowing passengers to stay connected for work, communication, and entertainment. This complements our broader cabin upgrade programme, including new Premium Economy, enhanced Business Class, refreshed First Class, and upgraded entertainment systems.”
Chad Gibbs, SpaceX’s Vice President of Starlink Business Operations, added, “With Starlink on Emirates flights, passengers can stream, game, and make video calls just like on the ground. We’re excited to enhance the travel experience while supporting rapid Starlink installation, alongside maintaining Emirates’ high service standards.”
