HYDERABAD (Dunya News) – An alleged robber was killed and his accomplice escaped during an ‘encounter’ with police in Leghari Para here on Sunday.
The dead robber was identified as Naseebullah. He and his accomplice had snatched Rs2billion from a shoe trader of Lahore, Khawaja Abdullah Yasir, in Mochi Para, near Madinah Masjid.
Hyderabad SSP Adeel Hussain Chandio had taken a notice of the robbery and ordered police to arrest the robbers. Police took action and chased the robbers, who encountered the law enforcers.
During an exchange of fire, a robber was injured and succumbed to his injuries before being shifted to hospital.
Police were raiding to arrest his accomplice who ran away during the shootout.
FIVE-YEAR-OLD BOY DIES
A five-year-old boy fell victim to a stray bullet while travelling with his uncle on a bike. The incident took place in Orangi Town. The victim was identified as Burhan. Police were investigating.
