LOWER DIR (Web Desk) – Police have made a major breakthrough in the shooting incident at the home of Pakistani fast bowler Naseem Shah, arresting three suspects as the investigation picks up pace.
According to officials, the suspects were taken into custody during a targeted police operation. Authorities said the arrests mark an “important step forward” in the probe, as investigators continue to collect evidence and get to the bottom of the incident.
Naseem Shah’s family expressed deep concern over the attack and voiced hope that the culprits will soon face the full force of the law. On social media, cricket fans from across the country sent prayers and good wishes for the young pacer and his family, urging authorities to leave no stone unturned.
Police said unknown attackers opened fire at the main gate of Naseem’s residence on the night of November 10, at around 1:45am.
The gunfire left damage on the doors, walls and windows, but — by sheer luck — no one was hurt.
The shooters fled the scene immediately after the attack. Investigators are now working around the clock to determine the motive and trace all individuals involved.
