(Dunya News) - Renowned Pakistani actor Usman Mukhtar recently spoke candidly about his childhood experiences and the impact of his father’s strict upbringing on his approach to parenting.
Recently Usman Mukhtar appeared in an interview of a local TV channel. Talking about his childhood experiences, Mukhtar revealed that he is determined not to repeat the mistakes of his father with his own daughter.
“I will not be the kind of father my father was,” he stated. Mukhtar described his father as extremely strict during his childhood. “My father may have believe his approach was correct, but I feel it was harsh and left a lasting impact on my personality,” Mukhtar shared.
The actor explained that his childhood experiences have profoundly shaped his outlook, motivating him to be a more caring and understanding parent. “I don’t want to impose the same strictness on my daughter. I want to be a better father for her,” he added.
Sharing a light-hearted anecdote, Mukhtar described himself as a “cautious father”. “Even before my daughter’s birth, I visited the doctor’s clinic to learn about the vaccinations she would need and how to ensure her proper medical care,” the actor told.
He reflected on how childhood experiences influence a person’s life trajectory, saying, “If my father had been different, I wouldn’t be who I am today. I don’t want to repeat those patterns with my child.”
Mukhtar added that he is very cautious about his daughter upbringing, making sure that she would get confidence from her home.
