Schedule announced for LG elections in Quetta

The local government elections will be held on Sunday, December 28

QUETTA (Dunya News) – The official schedule for local government elections in Quetta has been announced.

Elections will be held in 172 union councils and 641 wards of the city, with preparations already underway for the December polls. Public notices have been displayed outside the offices of returning and district returning officers.

Nomination papers will be issued and received from November 13 to 17, while the list of candidates will be published on November 18. Scrutiny of nomination papers will take place from November 19 to 24.

The last date for filing appeals against acceptance or rejection of nomination papers is November 28, with the Appellate Tribunal’s final decisions due by December 3.

A revised list of candidates will be released on December 4, followed by a final list and election symbols on December 6.

The local government elections will be held on Sunday, December 28.
