Three killed, 25 injured as bus crashes into truck on M-2 Motorway near Bhera

A passenger bus collided with a truck on the M-2 Motorway near Bhera, killing three people and injuring 25 others. The crash was reportedly caused by the driver falling asleep.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A tragic accident on the M-2 Motorway near Bhera claimed three lives, including the bus driver and hostess, after a passenger bus crashed into a truck late Tuesday.

According to Motorway Police, the accident occurred when the bus lost control and rammed into a truck, before hitting a roadside tree. Rescue teams rushed to the scene soon after the crash.

At least 25 passengers were injured, one of whom later succumbed to injuries at the hospital. All the wounded were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Bhera, by Rescue 1122 ambulances.

Eyewitnesses said the accident happened when the driver apparently dozed off behind the wheel, causing the bus to swerve out of control.
