MIRPURKHAS: (Dunya News) Police have arrested the main suspect involved in the brutal rape and murder of seven-year-old Amna Bibi, whose body was recovered from a canal.
According to SSP Mirpurkhas, the accused, Zahid Khaskheli, abducted Amna on November 4 while she was returning home from school. He kept her in captivity for two days, subjected her to sexual assault, and later strangled her to death before disposing of her body in a nearby canal.
The SSP confirmed that the medical report verified both rape and strangulation. Investigations revealed that the accused, a barber by profession and resident of Jhaloori, had been befriending the child for days by offering her candies and biscuits.
Police say the suspect has confessed to the crime, and further investigation is underway to ensure swift justice for the victim.
