President grieved over Turkish military plane crash

President Zardari extended condolences to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and expressed sympathy to the Turkish nation.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday expressed deep sorrow and grief over the Turkish military plane crash near the Azerbaijan-Georgia border.

President Zardari extended condolences to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and expressed sympathy to the Turkish nation.

In a statement, the president prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the Turkish personnel, martyred in the crash. He said Pakistan equally shared the Turkiye’s grief. “Turkiye and Pakistan stand shoulder to shoulder in every moment of trial,” he added.

It is pertinent to mention here that a Turkish Air Force C-130 aircraft crashed near the Azerbaijan-Georgia border, killing all 20 personnel on board. The plane went down shortly after takeoff in the border region.
