BAKU/ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan and Turkiye have reiterated their commitment to maintaining close coordination and cooperation on regional and international matters, while promoting peace, stability, and prosperity across the region.
The agreement was reached during a meeting between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Baku. The meeting was also attended by Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
During the discussions, both leaders reviewed all aspects of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Turkey and expressed their determination to further expand cooperation in various areas of mutual interest.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the vibrant celebrations of Pakistan-Turkey Friendship Week, describing them as a reflection of the long-standing and strong ties between the two brotherly nations. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s resolve to elevate its fraternal relationship with Turkey into a comprehensive partnership encompassing political, defense, economic, trade, investment, and people-to-people ties.
It was also decided during the meeting that a Turkish ministerial delegation will visit Pakistan in the near future to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
