PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Peshawar Zone has foiled an attempt to obtain Pakistani citizenship through forged documents, arresting an Afghan national along with three other suspects.
According to FIA officials, the arrested individuals include Sadiqullah, Samiullah, Fayyaz Khan, and Younis Khan. The Afghan national, Sadiqullah, was attempting to acquire Pakistani citizenship using fake documentation.
A spokesperson for the FIA said that Younis Khan played a key role in the forgery by presenting himself at NADRA as the father of the Afghan national. Meanwhile, Fayyaz Khan and Samiullah acted as witnesses and certifiers, providing false attestations to illegally validate Sadiqullah’s citizenship application.
The FIA emphasized that the operation was part of its ongoing efforts to prevent illegal citizenship and document fraud. Authorities have confirmed that further investigations are underway and legal proceedings are being carried out against all the accused in accordance with the law.
