ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has issued a formal notification announcing a reduction of Rs0.48 per unit in electricity tariffs.
According to a Nepra spokesperson, the decrease has been made under the monthly fuel cost adjustment mechanism and will be reflected in current month’s bills.
The spokesperson added that the tariff cut applies to all consumers nationwide, including those under K-Electric. The regulator stated that the move will provide over Rs5 billion in financial relief to electricity consumers across the country.
Nepra has also released the official notification detailing the revised rates and implementation process.
