(Web Desk) – Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma is all set to make her long-awaited comeback after nearly seven years, but this time it won’t be in cinemas – her new film will premiere on Netflix.
According to reports in Indian media, Anushka Sharma’s sports biographical film Chakda Xpress is expected to be released soon on the streaming platform.
The film’s shooting was completed quite some time ago; however, disagreements between Netflix and the production company over post-production and final scenes caused significant delays.
Reports now suggest that both sides have resolved their issues, paving the way for the film’s release in the near future.
In the movie, Anushka portrays Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami, who represented the Indian women’s cricket team from 2002 to 2022. Goswami hails from Chakda, a small town in the Indian state of West Bengal - the film’s title is inspired by her hometown.
Initially slated for release in 2024, the project faced postponements due to creative disputes. Now, fans eagerly await Anushka Sharma’s much-anticipated return to the screen.
