ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Ever since the coalition government decided to table the 27th Constitutional Amendment in the parliament, political activities heat up in the country, with political parties keep holding huddles, talks and meetings.
In this connection, an MQM delegation met JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and presented him its own constitutional amendment draft.
MQM leader Mustafa Kamal, while talking to the media, said that the only solution to take resources to the people is the constitutional amendment of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement.
“All parties should support this amendment of the MQM. We have given the draft to the JUI. This is Pakistan's draft. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has indicated his support for our draft of constitutional amendment,” the MQM leader said.
JUI leader Kamran Murtaza said that after reading the draft, they will respond to the MQM and will move forward according to whatever is in the interest of Pakistan.
Earlier, Fazlur Rehman said that JUI-F would review the 27th Constitutional Amendment only after its draft is released. Before that, we cannot say anything -- speculation should be avoided, he added.
