Quetta (Web Desk) – A recent report revealed that a total of 201 Afghan students are currently enrolled in various universities across Balochistan.

According to official data, 84 Afghan students are studying at the University of Balochistan, while 59 are enrolled at BUITEMS (Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences). Additionally, 22 students are studying at the University of Loralai, and 36 Afghan female students are enrolled at the Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University.

University administrations have stated that a large number of Afghan students have already returned to their home country before completing their studies. Officials advised that students who wish to resume their education in Pakistan should obtain valid visas before returning to continue their academic programs.

According to university sources, the quota for Afghan students in Balochistan’s universities has now been abolished.

The decision comes amid ongoing changes in student visa policies and cross-border educational arrangements between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
