PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has conducted a major operation against an inter-provincial drug trafficking network in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, recovering a large quantity of hashish.
According to the ANF spokesperson, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Regional Directorate received credible intelligence that a massive cache of narcotics had been hidden among rocky cliffs at a dumping site in District Khyber.
Reports indicate that the drugs belonged to the notorious Bara-based DTO gang, comprised of well-known smugglers from the Afridi tribe. The traffickers were attempting to transport the narcotics to Punjab under the cover of darkness.
Acting swiftly on the intelligence, the ANF team raided the location and seized 144 kilograms of hashish. A case has been registered against the suspects under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act, 1997.
