Parliament lodges new block nears completion after 13-year delay

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The long-delayed new block of Parliament Lodges in the federal capital — pending since 2012 — is finally nearing completion.

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the under-construction site and reviewed progress on the ongoing development works in detail.

The minister directed authorities to ensure the project’s early and high-quality completion at all costs, instructing that work continue in three shifts to meet the deadline.

Mohsin Naqvi said the completion of this long-stalled project will provide parliamentarians with quality residential facilities. He emphasized that all public welfare projects, including the Parliament Lodges expansion, must be completed within their stipulated timelines to ensure the optimal use of public resources.

During the visit, CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa gave a detailed briefing to the minister on the project’s progress. The CDA member engineering and other senior officials were also present.
