ISTANBUL (Dunya News) - Pakistan and Turkiye have agreed to continue working together on the issue of Palestine, especially establishing sustainable peace in Gaza.
The understanding was reached during bilateral meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Tukrish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, on the sidelines of Arab-Islamic Foreign Ministers Meeting on Gaza in Istanbul.
During the meeting, the ministers expressed satisfaction over the positive trajectory of Pakistan-Turkiye bilateral relations and reaffirmed their shared commitment to further deepen cooperation across political, economic, and defence spheres.

It may be recalled that Pakistan, along with seven other Arab-Islamic countries, has remained engaged with the peace initiative that led to the signing of the Gaza Peace Agreement in Sharm El-Sheikh.

The foreign ministers of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Pakistan and Indonesia are set to join the meeting on ceasefire developments and the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
Countries taking part in the Istanbul talks all attended a meeting with US President Donald Trump in New York in September on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
