PESHAWAR: (Dunya News) The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Monday compiled a report on the explosion that occurred at the CTD police station on University Road in Peshawar.
According to the report, the blast took place at 7:58 a.m. inside the station’s malkhana (evidence storage room). The explosion caused severe damage to the building, resulting in the martyrdom of Head Constable Bilal and injuries to three other personnel.
The injured officers were identified as Constables Zaitullah, Mudassar, and Muhammad Ayaz — all of whom are reported to be out of danger.
The report stated that the malkhana contained items seized from suspects in 2025, including 2 kilograms of explosives, 23 hand grenades, and 7 grenade levers. Additionally, 60 rifles, 10 kilograms of high explosives, 2 suicide jackets, 42 electric and 10 non-electric detonators, an RPG shell, and an IED device were also stored there.
The CTD report further mentioned that safety fuses, prima cords, batteries, and electric wires were also kept in the malkhana.
