KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Broadcasters Association (PBA) held its annual general body meeting in Karachi, where Dunya Media Group Chairman Mian Amer Mahmood was elected unopposed as Chairman for the 2025-26 term.
Alongside the election of the Chairman, several key office bearers were also announced. Salman Iqbal of ARY was elected as Senior Vice Chairman, while Geo TV’s Mir Ibrahim Rahman became Vice Chairman. Shakeel Masud Hussain of Dawn News was appointed General Secretary, with Ahmad Zuberi from Aaj TV as Joint Secretary and M. Athar Qazi of KTN as Finance Secretary.
The meeting saw the participation of a majority of members from both the television and radio categories.
In addition to the permanent board members, three television representatives were elected by the General Body as directors on the PBA Board in the Elected Member Category. They include Chaudhry Abdul Rehman from Neo TV, Ghulam Nabi Morai from Mehran TV, and Verda Naqvi from City 42.
