LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has instructed local administrations in Muzaffargarh, Lodhran, Rajanpur, Liaqatpur, and Rahim Yar Khan to ensure the safe evacuation of residents as floodwaters continue to pose a serious threat.
PDMA Director General Irfan Ali Kathia said authorities must move people out of riverbeds without delay, stressing that lives are at stake. He directed that citizens be shifted to safer places and provided with all necessary facilities.

Kathia emphasized that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has made it crystal clear that protecting lives is the government’s top priority.
He further said that those refusing to leave the danger zone should be relocated with the help of police, so that no one is left high and dry in the face of looming floods.
