UAE naval chief was warmly received by Admiral Naveed Ashraf upon his arrival

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Commander of the United Arab Emirates Naval Forces, Major General Hamad Mohamed Abdullah, met with Pakistan Navy Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf at the Naval Headquarters in Islamabad to discuss matters of mutual interest and regional security.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the UAE naval chief was warmly received by Admiral Naveed Ashraf upon his arrival.

A smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Navy presented a guard of honour to the visiting dignitary.

During the meeting, both sides held detailed discussions on bilateral cooperation, the regional maritime security environment, and shared strategic interests.

UAE naval commander meets Pakistan Air Chief in Islamabad

Admiral Naveed Ashraf highlighted Pakistan Navy’s efforts for peace and stability in the region, particularly through initiatives like Regional Maritime Security Patrols (RMSP).

Major General Hamad acknowledged and appreciated the Pakistan Navy’s contributions toward maritime security in the region.

Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral defence ties, with ISPR stating that the UAE naval commander’s visit will contribute to enhanced military-to-military cooperation between Pakistan and the UAE.
