CPEC Phase-II to elevate Pakistan-China cooperation, says Ahsan Iqbal

Iqbal highlighted that CPEC Phase-II offers opportunities for strengthening ports, renewable energy

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Planning, Ahsan Iqbal, has said that CPEC Phase-II will take Pakistan-China cooperation to new heights.

During his visit to Tianjin, the minister reviewed the Huan Sheng New Energy Solar Plant and discussed fresh avenues of collaboration between Pakistan and China.

Speaking on the occasion, Ahsan Iqbal highlighted that CPEC Phase-II offers opportunities for strengthening ports, renewable energy, and the livestock sector. He added that the Huan Sheng Plant is an advanced, fully automated project symbolizing the fourth industrial revolution, and Pakistan also aims to benefit from such modern energy initiatives.

He further stated that Pakistan will promote biotechnology cooperation in agriculture with China, creating platforms to fully utilize Chinese technology and expertise. Stressing that the future lies in solar and green energy, he urged Chinese companies to invest in Pakistan.

The minister also visited an animal vaccine manufacturing company and invited them to establish a plant in Pakistan, emphasizing that livestock remains a vital pillar of the country’s agri-economy. Ensuring disease-free animals, he noted, will help enhance Pakistan’s meat exports significantly.
