Flight operations back on track at Sialkot Airport after flood disruption

The suspension notice (NOTAM) has officially been called off

SIALKOT (Dunya News) – Flight operations at Sialkot International Airport are set to resume today after being temporarily suspended due to floodwater.

The suspension notice (NOTAM) has officially been called off.

Spokesperson Muhammad Umair Khan said all flights will get off the ground as planned, stressing that the disruption was only a short pause caused by heavy flooding in the area.

He explained that while the drainage of floodwater from the airport premises is still underway, the runway, taxiway, apron, terminal building, and main complex have remained safe and sound.

Khan expressed gratitude to the Pakistan Army and district administration for lending a helping hand during the crisis.

He added that the administration is keeping a close eye on the situation, while assuring passengers that all airport equipment remains in perfect working order.
