MALAKAND (Web Desk) – Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) Malakand district chief Mufti Kifayatullah has passed away, days after sustaining serious injuries in a gun attack at his residence in Batkhela.
The attack, which occurred on Saturday, also claimed the lives of his son and two daughters while his wife was left critically injured.
Police officials stated that the gunfire was opened by Mufti Kifayatullah’s son, Muatasim, who initially fled the scene before being arrested. The incident sent shockwaves through the local community and drew attention to the personal tragedy that unfolded within the family of the senior JUI-F leader.

Funeral prayers for Mufti Kifayatullah are scheduled to take place at 10pm tonight at Zafar Park, Batkhela, where a large number of supporters and community members are expected to gather.
