LAHORE (Dunya News) – Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora said that India’s attempt to hurt the sentiments of the Sikh community has failed, as nearly 100 pilgrims and locals were safely evacuated from Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib.
Ramesh Singh Arora stated that the tireless efforts of the Pakistan Army and rescue teams paid off, ensuring the safety of the historic scriptures and valuable relics at Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib. He also paid tribute to Army Chief General Asim Munir.
He said that the Pakistan Army, district administration, and other departments made the rescue operation successful. He strongly criticized India, saying that the release of floodwater was an act of "water terrorism," which submerged several areas of Pakistan.
Sardar Ramesh Singh further revealed that nearly ten feet of water had accumulated inside Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib, alleging that the Modi government deliberately released 250,000 cusecs of water.

He also said that the Punjab government fully stands in solidarity with the Sikh community and that normal activities at Kartarpur will soon be restored.
