Kasur admin enlists Rangers, army for evacuation efforts

Water level has reached 22 feet at Head Ganda Singh Wala

KASUR (Dunya News) - With the water level in Sutlej River continuously rising, the district administration has sought assistance from Rangers, the Army, and police for evacuation efforts.

At Head Ganda Singh Wala, the water level has reached 22 feet, with a flow of 190,000 cusecs recorded.

Deputy Commissioner Imran Ali has directed the Revenue, Health, and Agriculture departments to intensify efforts in flood-affected areas.It emerged that he has also canceled staff leaves and instructed them to stay in the flood-hit areas.

The deputy commissioner stated that villages along the river are being affected, people are being evacuated round the clock, boats from ten districts have arrived, and rescue operations are being expanded further.
